10th Conference On Solidarity: Mobilizing for the Commons

We cordially invite you to the 10th Conference On Solidarity: Mobilizing for the Commons, to be held from 4 to 6 November 2016 in Gdansk, Poland. The conference is held jointly with the 27th European Meeting of Cultural Journals. The event is organized by the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna, the European network of cultural journals, Eurozine, the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk and Res Publica Foundation, in partnership with ERSTE Foundation and the Mayor of Gdańsk.

Attendance is free of charge. The conference language is English. Please note that the IWM is unable to cover cost of travel and accommodation.
The series of conferences „On Solidarityâ was developed by the IWM’s founding rector, Krzysztof Michalski; the first conference took place in September in 2005, at Boston University. More on the past conferences can be found on our website. The series is continued by Shalini Randeria, rector of the IWM since 2015, and in order to honour the origins of Solidarity the 10th conference takes place in Gdansk.
