The section activities are focused on the sociology of youth and education with special emphasis on following issues: youth in modern society, generation’s formation, youth and social structure, transitions in youth, youth culture and leisure time, youth employment, youth and social problems, youth in communication networks, young people mobility and migration, education and social structure, education and social capital distribution, educational careers in youth, comparative educational studies and other. The section organizes conferences and prepares publication considering sociological youth studies and research. Section consists of more than 100 members.
