Call for a Regional Editor and Translation Team for Global Dialogue in Poland
Published 10 September 2021 in: News

Global Dialogue is the unique public and global sociology magazine of the International Sociological Association (ISA). It is part of ISA’s digital publications. Free download makes it accessible for a non-academic and academic audience around the globe: https://globaldialogue.isa-sociology.org/.

Each volume of Global Dialogue consists of three issues a year with articles by renowned sociologists as well as young scholars. Interviews give insights into relevant sociological topics. Symposia discuss the pressing issues of our time. Theoretical contributions offer deeper reflections on matters of sociological importance. Scholars present the sociology of different countries. An open section draws on research findings on contemporary developments.

Global Dialogue appears in 17 languages. Regional editors and their translation teams are responsible for translating each issue from the original English version into their respective language.

This call addresses scholars in Poland who are interested in becoming a regional editor responsible for the Polish version. Global Dialogue strives to bring together teams of young scholars and students who are interested in public and global sociology and ready to collaborate in producing each issue.

The three issues of Global Dialogue are published in April, August and December. Each issue is 27,000 words-long and the translation teams are given 9 weeks to complete the translation and the composition with the software InDesign.
