FOR THE POSITION OF EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE JOURNAL:
POLISH SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW
In relation to the end of the term of the current editorial team, the Board of the Polish Sociological Association announces a competition for the position of Editor-in-Chief of Polish Sociological Review (PSR).
PSR is a leading peer-reviewed academic journal published quarterly in Poland since 1961 (before 1993 known as The Polish Sociological Bulletin). It lists contributions in English from diverse areas of sociology with a focus on social theory, social structure, social change, culture, and politics in a global perspective. PSR provides publications of Polish and international sociologists.
The submission deadline for the position of Editor-in-Chief is October 31, 2017. The candidates are required to hold a Polish habilitation or an equivalent qualification in sociology or related areas, to be fluent in English, as well as to hold a record of excellence when it comes to the editing of books or publications in English. The submission should consist of:

General, editorial strategy outline of PSR ;

CV and list of publications;

Names of 2-3 proposed members of the future editorial team with a brief justification;

Information about experience in editing and membership in journal editorial committees.
The future Editor-in-Chief of PSR will be appointed by the Board of the Polish Sociological Association subsequent to an interview with selected candidates.
