They are social practices that arise from the wisdom traditions of human culture, mostly from religious and spiritual backgrounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">In recent decades their spread in the West took place through secularized forms, that were strengthened in the field of health and well-being, above all experienced in clinical settings and then spread in organizations and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">The aim of these practices is admittedly the <i><em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">transformation from within<\/em><\/i> with expected consequences in social interactions through a redefinition of self, experience and action to alleviate individual and social suffering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">This session will witness the sociological commitment in this area, highlighting the methodological aspects of greatest interest to the possibility of combining first person, second person and third person methods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">The session is intended as an experience-based workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">GUIDELINES<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"> To submit a paper abstract for the RC33 9th International Conference on Social Science Methodology, you should visit:\u00a0<b><a style=\"font-style: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.le.ac.uk\/departments\/sociology\/research\/rc33-conference\">http:\/\/www2.le.ac.uk\/departments\/sociology\/research\/rc33-conference<\/a><\/b>After landing on the homepage, navigate to \u2018Abstract Submission\u2019, which appears in the top left hand column of the webpage, see image below:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"> Complete the form in full.
